Because OSA is a medical condition, you may be covered by medical insurance. Must be pre-authorized before the provision of service.

4 STEPS TO ANTI-SNORING

1. Initial visit – Thoroughly examine your teeth and mouth to confirm your oral health status, as well as ensure that you are dentally appropriate for the device. Predetermine with insurance carriers for coverage.

2. Impressions and bite registration - Taken at the second appointment.

3. Delivery appointment - Your custom-made device will be placed and checked for fit. The denturist will also instruct you on how to insert and remove it yourself, including how to clean and care for your device.

4. Calibration visits - The purpose of these visits is to determine the optimal position of the device.

DEFINING OSA

Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a serious health condition.

OSA is a chronic medical condition that can affect your sleep, health and quality of life. It has been linked to hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, work and driving-related accidents and stroke.

It can have a significant impact on the quality of life, placing unnecessary strain on relationships between bed partners, family and in the workplace.

If you or a loved one have OSA or display symptoms such as snoring, excessive daytime sleepiness or pauses in breathing while sleeping, treatment is essential.

Defining QSA
What Causes OSA?

WHAT CAUSES OSA?

During sleep, muscles relax, including those that control the tongue and throat. The soft tissue at the back of your throat can sag, narrowing and constricting the airway.

If you think you may have Obstructive Sleep Apnea you need to consult your medical doctor and request that you be referred for a sleep assessment. Once that has been determined and you have a prescription you can proceed with the course of treatment.

Costs can vary for the various oral appliances for Anti-Snoring and Sleep Apnea but financing is available. Improve your quality of life for as little as $2/day.
